Daily Schedule
Daily life at the ashram has a flexible spiritual discipline that the residents can use based on their interests. The schedule has ample scope for uplifting all aspects of body, mind and spirit.
- The day begins at 6.00 a.m with a prayer followed by a few energising exercises (sukshma vyayama), pranayama and meditation for 30 minutes.
- From 7.00-8.00 a.m. while Vedic Mantras are chanted the residents get ready for the daily activities.
- From 8.00-8.30 a.m. Pooja at the Mukunda mandira - Krishna temple with an offering of Prasada to Lord Krishna.
- From 8.30-9.30 a.m. Prasada is served with satvic breakfast in the community kitchen.
- From 10.00-10.30 a.m. Agnihotra homa in the main hall.
- From 12.30-1.30 p.m. Satvic lunch made with ingredients grown in the community garden along with seasonal vegetables, fruits, nuts, sprouts and milk / curd is served.
- From 1.30-4.00 p.m. Rest
- From 4.00 p.m. Story / Circle time in the main hall. The story / circle time is meant for sharing beautiful personal experiences or interesting stories from vast collections of Puranas (mythology), Itihasa (history) or moral stories (Neethi kathas). Light snacks and beverages are served during this time.
- From 6.00-6.45 p.m. Bhajans in the Temple / Dhyana mandira.
- From 6.45-7.15 p.m. Meditation in the Temple / Dhyana mandira.
- From 7.15-8.00 p.m. Healthy Light Dinner in the community kitchen.
- From 8.15-9.15.p.m Screening of select episodes of Ramayana, Mahabharatha or any other spiritual stories in the main hall.
- 9.30 p.m Lights off !
